COLLECTION CHECK FIELD NOTES

Understanding palette overlap

A useful collection starts with knowing what’s inside.

Exact shades and possible similarities

An exact duplicate shares an approved shade and formula identity. A possible similarity shares attributes such as hue, depth, and undertone. These are different kinds of evidence, and your check keeps them separate.

Keep what’s available up to date

Add a palette once to include all its shades. Open its details to mark a finished pan unavailable. You can archive a product without erasing its place in your collection.

A little room for uncertainty

Historical releases can have incomplete documentation. Unknown shades don’t count toward definitive novelty percentages. Display colors are references, not promises about how something will look on your skin.
